Originally from NYC. I'm a passionate, dedicated and experienced entrepreneur, looking to further my experiences as I learn important concepts and strategies in all branches of Business Management, Quality Management, and Sustainability Management. As a result of being well traveled I have a deep respect and interest for all cultures around the world. I enjoy learning from diverse communities and easily adapt to different environments.
My love for exploring boils down to my role-model, mentor, and step-dad, Will Travis. In 2011 he signed me up for a volunteer program to travel to Namibia and Botswana for a month, where my team and I helped rebuild a primary school and witnessed 3rd-world poverty firsthand. This changed me, and upon my arrival Will noticed it before I could realize. Perfect timing was on our side. Will's sabbatical gave him space, where his interest was sparked to try something new. That same year I remember Will asking me, "Do you want to go to Bali, Indonesia for a year? There's an international school there made entirely from bamboo! What do you think? New York City isn't going to change". He was absolutely right, I fell in love with Indonesia. I even decided to stay another year and become a part of the first graduating class at the Green School. These two years were full of unforgettable moments, achievements, and adventures that shaped me into the man I am today. After studying Business at the University of Colorado for two years and exploring the state's iconic and scenic landscape, I decided that adventure calls for something new. That something is the island of Sumba, and I wouldn't make it this far if it weren't for my role-model, so I dedicate this page especially to you, Will. |
